I have a Netgear router and can port forward that quite easily. However, at work we have a 3com 11g wireless router and I've been asked to setup PC Anywhere on it.
I have the software installed on the two computers (one at work, one at home). The 'Host' pc will be the works, and 'Remote' will be home, and in the settings of Pc Anywhere I have inputted the externall Ip address of out Internet.
However, upon browsing through the router I did get a bit confused.
There is a section in which I believe is the port forward section/open up ports, but it's got stuff about 'Port Trigger' and I'm not sure what that is. I know ports 5631 and 5632 have to be opened up, but what is port triggering?
Also I can't find in the router a Netgear type setup where you can open up the ports and send that specific data to the networked computer which is 192.168.1.101 ( seven computers in total on our very small network) or is that something I configure within the Anywhere software?
Thank you for any help
