Triggers to get a song stuck in your head

I had to disable the Windows XP Exit sound because of the similarity to Metal Church's "Gods of Wrath". I would have that song stuck in my head for hours after shutting down Windows.

Now it seems every time I take a break at work, I get Led Zeppelin's "Nobody's Fault But Mine" in there -- I find myself outside humming it and I have no idea why. Having the song stuck drives me mad as much as trying to figure why it's stuck. :o

Anyone else have a song you find yourself repeating due to some circumstance? I'm sure mobile ring-tones would play a big part of that as well.

I don't know why but I get Cantina band (from Star Wars) stuck in my head quite often....it's been going on for years! haha!
Ha Ha! That's my ring-tone! If someone calls me on my mobile while I'm at work, I bet I will hear someone humming or whistling it a few minutes later. :p

I was thinking, maybe these songs that get stuck in our heads for no aparent reason are subconciously our 'perfect' songs?
I'm sure the Zep song isn't mine - there's nothing really quality about it. I'm almost positive the word "Fault" is written somewhere as I'm walking out of the office, but I can't find it when I consciously look for it. And, of course, if I'm consciously looking I know the reason why and the song gets stuck again.

"Patience" is in my head now, though. Thanks, Chronos. :p

Hmmm....maybe the fact I got of the train at Cantina Station triggered it ;)
Ah hah! Solved! :) A perfect example, too.

We had a guy we worked with that was highly susceptible to suggestion, so we would find the most catchy '70s or '80s songs (Like Dave's Abba) and record them on his voice-mail each morning.

Later on in the day while walking walking to a customer's desk or to lunch, we'd catch him humming the song. Then he'd stop and yell, "@#$% you all!" :D Much rofflage.

Is it really sad that I am now singing that John Denver song now?
I know the song, but I only know one verse, so it doesn't stick long.

Had a walk outside about an hour ago and found a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner in the carpark. Sure enough, I now have the Looney Tunes song stuck in my head.
