Hi guys,

Anyone recommend a nice easy way to trim/cut sections from an mp4 without re-encoding?

I have Adobe CC if theres anything in there that can do it?

Thats a command line tool isn't it? I need something user friendly as I'm going to be doing this hundreds of times (converting old family VHS to mp4)?

I did see that trim option in QT, but when I had a go the "saving" process took like 5 minutes (with a progress bar) so I assumed it was re-encoding?

(This is using QT 10 on Yosemite)

Thanks guys,

QT does indeed do the job, but there is no chance of tine tuning so didn't really cut the mustard for me (which is a shame as the functionality is all there but you can't drill down the accuracy).

Used MPEG Streamclip in the end which despite being a very sloppy (and half broken due to being on Yosemite) front end UI seems to be backed by some pretty heavy duty machinery so this tool will do the job nicely for now :)
