Hi /all,

I'm hoping someone can help with this short question...

Is Trim supported on the MSi X79a-GD65 (8D) for RAID configurations using SSD's?

2x 'Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT256M4SSD2)'.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-010-CR

It does say on the specifications page for my SSD's that TRIM is supported Natively, so shouldn't I worry if the mainboard doesn't supports TRIM?

Many thanks in advance

I thought as of Intel RAID services version 11 all 7-series chipsets passed the TRIM instructions through for RAID 0.
Edit - found this on Wiki - As of August 2012, Intel confirms that 7-series chipsets with Rapid Storage Technology (RST) 11.2 drivers will support TRIM for RAID 0 in Microsoft Windows 7.

Many thanks, I wasn't aware of that...

I'm assuming I have to install RST/RSTe Drivers within Windows...

I'm assuming this is why the RSTe Driver Update Keeps showing in MSi Update, the only problem is that it install but the update keeps showing... Perhaps this will change when I install the SSDs and complete a clean install of Windows 7, currently using Windows 8 of which I dislike... Waste of £25 that was....

Thanks again.... :)
