Hi all,

Anyone have any experience with this turd of a company? Ages ago I bought RIFT and played it for about 2 days before getting bored. Someone hacked the account so as a precaution they banned the account. No real bother here as I wasn't playing. But now I am looking at Archeage and want to apply for beta access. I submitted a account recovery ticket and they said fine provide us with a few details and we will restore. If I reply to the email it says 'this email is not associated with an account', and if I submit a new ticket the only option is to fill out the basic account recovery info. They give me a link to update my current ticket but when I go to this it says "this account is banned". Further, I cannot phone them as I cannot find a number for customer support. If I submit a new ticket they just close it and refer me to the original one (which i cannot update) :D I suppose I could make a fresh account but I want this one as it is on my email and had some pre order goodies for Rift.

Am I being stupid and missing something obvious? Or are Trion actually really retarded and it isn't me being stupid? :D

What do I do if my account becomes hacked?
If you have access to your account after it has been hacked, please submit a ticket in-game so that a GM may assist you. Please select the Hacked option when creating the ticket. A GM will assist you as soon as possible.
If you have been hacked and you do not have access to your account, please contact our Account Support Team to retrieve your account. To verify your account, please include as much of the following information as possible when you contact the account support team:

  • The answers to your Security questions
  • The full date of birth on the account(mm/dd/yyyy):
  • Your RIFT or Defiance Game product code:
  • First and Last name:
  • Last 4 digits of the credit card on file (if any):
  • PayPal email address on file (if any):
  • The creation date of your account - This can be found by reviewing the date of the first email you received from Trion Worlds (mm/yyyy):
 
Yep I filled that in and they said they will restore it. They requested a confirmation as to what email I want to use and also that I ensure my PC is free of malware which ofc it is. But the only way to give them this info is through updating my ticket and when I go to do his it says "this account is banned" :d

I managed to find their US customer support number which you can call free from Skype but it was discontinued last year and they no longer offer phone support...

Am a bit stuck. Surely they must know that I can't update my ticket if the account is banned. Frackin Eejits

Edit: I can't log into any of their games as the account is still banned pending my confirmation of the above :)
 
Reading the Rift forums your not the only having account problems.

If you hadn't actually played the game much, and with it being free to play now, wouldn't it be easier to just start a fresh account with a new email address ?

If you only want to register for a chance invite to the Archeage alpha/beta then defo just use a new email/acc to register. The chances of getting an invite is very slim anyway.
