Good Afternoon,

I pulled the trigger on 3 x S2719DGF monitors, they come today and regardless of Gsync/Freesync I'm going to be over the moon to be back on a triple setup.

I have however (post order) been looking into Gsync compatible monitors when used in surround. Seems that originally it would only work for single monitors but this has now been rolled out to multi monitor.

Am I right in thinking though that my 1080ti will run Gsync compatibility on one monitor only and I would need a 2080ti or other future RTX based card to use it on all three monitors in surround?

Is anyone else running a similar set-up? Just wondering how I am going to explain to Mrs Alz that I need *another* new graphics card at some point :D

Thanks for the replies. I finally managed to get it all working last night. Centre monitor would not go 144hz no matter what I did. I think it's the cable because swapping it out for my old one seemed to do the trick. Annoying as they weren't cheap. I forgot how much of a faf triple monitors can be. Turned a few laps on iRacing though and forgot all about the setup issues :D

Need to have a proper fidle with it all to line everything up and find some way of fixing the stand to the desk to stop it tipping. All good fun.

Havent tested freesync / gsync compatible properly and it does say in NVCP that it's only the centre monitor that it's set to (primary).

Will probably wait till the 3080ti comes and hope that next gen consoles plus AMD's efforts bring the damn prices down. I saw somewhere $1500 mentioned again. Its a joke how expensive enthusiast level gaming has become.

I agree. I have a GTX 1080 Ti myself and I don't feel anything has been worth the upgrade, yet. I like to push monitors and find myself testing models with increasing refresh rates and resolutions. 144Hz UHD models, 200Hz 3440 x 1440 models and there will be some 240Hz WQHD models to look at as well. All tricky to push! At least I only drive one of these monitors at a time, having to push three of them would be on another level. I'm also resigned to the fact that my upgrade from this is likely to be something like the 3080 Ti and I'm not looking forward to the pricing on that. :p

I used triple monitors for a long time, and your right, its a bit of a faff, I have since switched to a 49" samsung 120hz 5120*1440 monitor, and i'm loving it, to be fair my 1080ti is struggling a bit, but I wont upgrade until the next gen I think, and if the prices are not crazy like they are now, I think this monitor will last me for years, and my gpu's will grow into being able to power it well

I mostly play iRacing when I get chance and I've found it's so easy to switch to one monitor when playing other games. Really happy with the monitors to be fair. Only game they struggle with it Assetto Corsa Competizione. If I turn graphics anywhere near high it becomes a sideshow! Best start sacing for this 3080ti and no doubt upgrade for the 5930k :o
