Looking ahead to December anybody ordered or had a triple/quad bird stuffed roast?
We're thinking about having one for Christmas but apart from trying the local butchers it would be ordering online, anyone got any recommendations?

Depends on what you're after.

Chicken, Duck, and Turkey I've had before with a chestnut stuffing and it was absolutely delicious. I did try some leftovers at a friends a couple of years back who went the route of Goose, Chicken, Pheasant which was beautiful. There's a few ways you can do it, I think it comes down to how adventurous you're willing to be coupled with your experience of different birds.

I'd personally stick to a 2-3 bird roast though, going for four would be a bit on the busy side I imagine.

Found a website that is duck, pheasant and wood pigeon but it's rather pricey.

Money is now doubt saved by doing it yourself but can't imagine that it's that easy or simple unless one spatchcock the birds and make a roll?

Not as bad as you might think actually, give this a watch:

Go local and get your butcher to debone if you don't fancy the prep work yourself.

So far M&S is the winner for price Vs birds involved.

A lot do turkey, duck and chicken, it's definitely the game variants we're after.

Do your own, just find a good local butcher willing to do the prep for you if you don't fancy doing it yourself.

You don't necessarily need to buy everything from the same butcher.

Isn't this a bit passee now -
a decent pheasant needs to be rare'ish, similarly for duck, whilst, you wouldn't do that for a turkey, so how do you effectively cook the multi bird compromisebo ?
whereas, a turkey with a pork sausagemeat crop stuffing, gives a contrast of flavours and little cooking problems

A few years back, me and the missus at the time had a 4 bird roast (chicken, turkey, goose and duck) from Aldi. Was pretty decent for the price, actually surprised me.
