Triple buffering on ATI?

Ok, my main rig has a GTX280 in it and I've long used the standard driver controls to force triple buffering in certain games.

Now I have another rig with a 4870 in it and I'm struggling to find any options for this at all. Surely there's some way of configuring this setting for particular games?

Sorry if this is a noob question but I've not had an ATI card for a while.

I presume you mean the 3D section in CCC? If I go there and click on the All button then all I get is a Triple buffering tick box under OpenGL at the bottom. This won't affect D3D apps not is it per-application as I can do with the Nvidia control panel.

No-one else got any ideas on this? :(

Considering how easy this is to configure with the NVidia drivers, I'm frankly stunned that there appears to be no way to do this with the ATI ones.

You can use the d3doverider program that comes with riva tuner to force tripple buffering in direct x.

or try ATI tray tools, effectively replaces the CCC and does a better job of things imo. Can set per app settings ala nVidia, not sure if it's working 100% under Windows 7 64 bit though, the install throws up an unsigned driver error but it seems to work anyway??

edit er actually it doesn't (kinda). Seems to work until you reboot when the driver gets unloaded out of memory and it won't go back in. Think you had to disable UAC to get it to work in Vista 64 so could try that but don't fancy it myself.
