Ok recently upgraded my PC, im a bit out of touch with the hardware these days but im staill an avid gamer..

Hi Guys! my first post but ive been getting my gear from OCUK for AAAGGGEEESS!!, so i have a little problem i think im right in what im saying below but im not sure and would like some confirmation...

in a nutshell i got this board http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-339-AS

and this ram
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-153-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1392

my board only supports duel channel and my ram is tripple channel, so i can just put 2 sticks in and run it as duel channel right?

and if i buy one more stick i can put the 2 sticks in and have 2 lots of duel channel right?

also could someone show me where i can get 1 x2 gig stick from as i cant find it...... Thanks in advance and feel free to call me names and laugh !!

Merry christmas User x

ocuk don't sell a identical single stick, try visiting the ocz website, seeing if there is a part number for a single stick with the same mhz and timings, and go from there.

Could you not return the set under DSR and grab a dual channel pair? Or you could sell the single stick - I'm sure a few pioneers on this forum will be going from i7-9xx to i7-2600K and will be needing an extra stick of RAM!

Two sticks will be running dual channel. One stick will not be for obvious reasons. Will you be able to notice the difference in real world application? Never. The only difference would be noted if your were a hard core bencher where stuff like that seems to matter.

Just enjoy your system all is good.
