Triple Channel Question

This is just a quick question, as I can't seem to muster up enough Google-fu to answer it.

If I have a Triple Channel motherboard, and fill 4 slots of the 6, will I lose the benefit of Triple Channel, or does the three sticks I put in those slots still use it?

What is the make and model number of your motherboard?

It's a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev 2.0).

Looking at the manual (page 16) - triple channel with 4 sticks is a go. Just use slots 2, 1, 3 & 5.

Ah, I see it now! I didn't realise it was dependant on the motherboard. Thanks for the brief teaching session
