Triple display question

Hi folks,

I currently have 2xAti 5870 in my desktop running 2xDell U2412M monitors.

At the moment the first card is feeding both displays through the DVI and the display port.

If I get hold of another monitor can these cards drive the 3rd? The monitors only have VGA/DVI/Display port.... No HDMI available

Any suggestions?

sorry, I missed the information that you were using the display port already.
if at least one monitor have displayport you can connect the other 2 to any port, if your monitor doesn't have display port then you are going to need an active displayport to DVI or hdmi

I'm not sure why you'd need an active DP to DVI adapter.

You only need to run one monitor from a DP connector and you're already doing that.

The third monitor you can just connect using the second DVI connector on the HD 5870.

As above, since you already have a monitor connected via DP, the 3rd one can be connected any way you want, DVI, VGA, DP, whatever is easier for you.
