After some advice please gentlemen :)

Ive got a Geforce GT 520 graphics card in my work PC and im currently using 2 x Dell U2410 monitors (both using DVI).

I'm going to be adding a Dell U2310 and need the cheapest way to be able to use all 3 monitors at once. The current graphics card has dual dvi and a vga port so if I try to use all 3 it will only allow 2 at once.

Could I just add another cheap graphics card or would I need to get a card that will allow Eyefinity or something?

The key word here is cheap, work are clamping down on spending so got to do this the most economical way.

OS is windows 7 pro if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance :)

You could just swap out the gt520 for something like a gt640, as it doesn't sound like you're gaming the 640 iirc will let you connect up to 4 displays.

Edit: my bad, it's the 610 multi monitor card you should be looking at not the 640.

You could also throw in another cheap nvidia card (provided the board has lanes to support it) to drive the 3rd monitor.

yeh its just for design work basically, no gaming. think we have another NV card knocking about somewhere, I will see if that will work.

Thanks :)

just looked and the board is a crappy board with one pci slot available, only cards we have are pci-e. looks like ill need to buy a new one

I run 2 1080p monitors from my 7950 and a third monitor from the 2700K's HD 3000 from the mobo's VGA port. Do u have a CPU chip with graphics on it?

with only PCI slots its highly unlikely to be as new a CPU as this :)

Personally with such an old machine I wouldnt go near multi -card solution (which it doesnt sound like your pc is capable of anyway)

Hope you are able to scrounge a suitable card for all three monitors

Hi mate,

The motherboard is an asrock h67m-ge

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Specifications&Model=H67M-GE.

Looking at that spec on the site it appears to have more than 1 pci-e slot, I appear to be mistaken :D

CPU is an i7 2600 revision D2, memory is 16gb

Could I run a 3rd monitor as suggested from the CPU chip?

Thanks :)

Yes u can mate.. remember to download the Intel HD drivers too.

Like i said i run 2 monitors from an AMD 7950 and the third runs from the HD 3000 graphics on my 2700K via the VGA port on the mobo :)
