I am looking to add two monitors to my current set-up and would appreciate advice on a) what to get, and b) how to set it up.

My current set-up is:

i5-3570k
Z77X-UD3H
AMD Radeon HD 7900
27" DGM monitor

I was thinking about getting two 24" Dell Ultrasharp monitors. I never use the high resolution on the DGM as it doesn't suit me, so something like 1920x1200 would be fine.

The current set-up handles everything atm but I am open to improvements (within reason) to run the additional monitors. Presumably two new graphics cards would be best?

Personally, I prefer my current 34" 21:9 (3440x1440) monitor to my previous triple monitor setup. You can get a Dell U3415W for just over £600. I'd probably sell your existing 27" and go for that in your situation.

YMMV though!

I definitely want at least one more screen, although I can see the sense in two larger screens instead of three smaller ones.

Maybe a 2nd screen for watching movies etc and keep the DGM for gaming?

I use 3 x 24" monitors and the main reason was for racing games. I had 2 smaller monitors for a while, which is very handy but always wanted the 3rd one, so I just pulled the plug, sold my screens and bought 3 x LG 24" 144hz screens which were on offer at OCUK at that time, the reason I got these is for shooting games etc I can play on the main screen at higher fps using the 144hz setting, but when racing I can use all 3 screens at 60hz, I'm pleased with the outcome and apart from cost, I've never looked back.

Also with these you can turn them to portrait and use them on end, not tried this yet but will in the future.
