Hi Guys
I want to do a triple monitor / TV setup to mainly play racing games, Asseto corsa, i racing etc
All monitors / TV's are to run off my zotac 980tiamp and i am happy for each display to be 1080p
I dont have a clue where to start with setting this up cable wise. I know the card has 3 display port outputs so is it these that i use / 1 per monitor ?
Also reccomendations on which monitors TV's to use preferably with thin bezels
I was thinking of something like a SAMSUNG C32F391 is it best to go curved or flat
Any help advice much appreciated
Thanks

I have considered this but i am not so sure how games like asseto corsa would render the image ?
I know it has triple monitor support which effectively brings the cars side windows into play which is what i was really looking for

Ive just upgraded to a triple setup for sim racing (mainly iracing) and i couldnt go back now the extra spacial awareness is amazing, not just of other cars but the apex of corners and braking points. Since upgrading ive slashed all my personal best laps on iracing.

your card will be fine running 1080p, monitors are completely dependant on budget, cheaper monitors dont tend to have display port inputs (at least in the 27" range) so if opting for cheaper monitors you need a display port to hdmi adapter per screen.

I had a budget of roughly £800 including a freestanding mount which was £180 on its own, and in the end opted for 3x BENQ GW2760S, bezels are roughly 10mm wide but in all honesty i barely notice them when racing
Thanks for that exactly the type of info i was after. I had read many times how the extra spacial awarness improved things but its nice to read first hand from somebody. Do you find the 3 27" monitors enough ? By this i mean the height of the displays opposed to the overall width as i was wondering if it might work going with 3 32" screens possibly even tv's ?

I recently changed to a 27" monitor from a 24" one, and I find it good enough when sitting about 700mm from it when simming.

A 30" or 32" would be slightly better if you have the budget to get 3 of them. Helps fill more of your vision, making it more immersive if you're using cockpit view.

Be careful with going for TV's though, as the display lag is usually higher than a good monitor.

Check displaylag or tftcentral

When racing this extra lag could be the difference between either catching a slide, or ploughing straight into the nearest wall, car or sandtrap :)

Yes i have been reading about input Lag and i have yet to come up with a decisive number that is considered too much. For instance that displaylag site shows to samsung tv's having 26 and 28ms lag .
Also it doesnt seem like a readily available specification when looking around the web at tv's for sale.
Also why isnt this input lag causing issues with ps4 / xbox one owners who predominantly game on tv's.
Im no expert but maybe its not as big an issue as it is being made out to be
You know once upon a time i thought it was all about hz and response times but now we have a third specification we must add to the equation of the perfect display making our job of choosing as difficult as computing pi to a million decimal places.
I will be biting the bullet and going for 3 x 32" tv's so wish me luck
