Hello all,

I am thinking of building a new PC and I have some questions about a triple monitor setup.
At the moment, I have 2 Samsung S23A350H Monitors

And I want to buy a 1 NVidia GeForce GTX 670.
Just want to know whether it is worth buying a 120Hz Moniter for the middle and use the 2 Other ones for side moniters.
I Really want to have a Nvidia 3D Surround Setup but not sure if I can achieve it without 3D Moniters.
Will I have to buy More 3D Moniters or should I just buy another moniter.

Thanks

For a 3 screen 3d setup you would need 3 of the same basic type of monitor. That means 120hz and be 3d vision approved. While it in theory isnt necessary for the 3 screens to be of the same brand/model i would recommend it since otherwise you are left with an uneven picture/color pattern and its going to be annoying and ruin the experience.

I had a 120hz as my main and a 60hz as a secondary. When I plugged in my secondary monitor it downclocked my main one to match it speeds, and even after going into properties and re-enabling 120hz on my main, it was still refreshing at 60hz.

I tried it with 2 different cards and loads of diff drivers, and it never worked, but others say it worked for them.

All 3 screens have to be same for 3D surround

Taken from Nvidia website-

Special Instructions:
> 3D Vision Surround requires using three DVI or
three DisplayPort connectors.
> All monitors must be the same make and model for
3D Vision Surround.
> Using DisplayPort connectors may require the use
of DisplayPort to Dual-link DVI adapters. Please
consult your monitor's manual for supported
3D connectors.
> Center Display of the Surround group should be
connected to the card with most displays.
> Accessory Display must be connected to the card
with most number of displays.
> You can use any connector to enable the
Accessory Display.
