hello

my boyfriend wants to get 3 new monitors so he can play his racing games on and looking for a bit of advice on what monitors, whats the best connections etc and how 3 moniotors actually connect to the pc.

im looking at this here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-160-SA&groupid=17&catid=510

i noticed one has hdmi input and the other dvi apart from that is there any dif between the 2??

when i order them am i better off connecting all 3 via dvi, and i think i would have to connect 2 monitors with an active displayport adapter is that correct??

any advice on the best way to setup such a setup and the required cables would really help

thanks

You have got to consider what graphics card he has, you will need to connect one via display port using and adapter.

Also those monitors cant be mounted if that is a consideration.

What graphics card does he have

As with HDMI and DVI it won't matter as you're going to have to use multiple connections anyway (atm I use 2x DVI and 1x hdmi)

He'll need an active adapter to make use of three monitors as well.

thnx i didnt realise they couldnt be mounted i currently have a 7950 and shall be ordering a second one this week then will think about new monitors mibbe 2 or 3 weeks time,

what would u suggest monitor wise?
