Hi

I am looking for a spec to build a PC that can power 3 monitors. The PC will be used for office work and watching videos (not games). I need the following:

- The whole PC
- x3 22-24 inch screens (would prefer IPS and at least 1080p)
- desk mount (not a wall mount) for the screens

I am pretty out of touch with current hardware (see my sig for the lolz) so would really appreciate some advice. Budget is between 2-3k. Would prefer to keep it to the 2k range though if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Given that you want to do office work, I don't see much benefit of spending 2k. What sort of programs are you going to run, any specific professional programs?

I am running three dell uh2414h, but the display-port daisy-chaining is awful. I have had to connect all three to my pc (cable management suffers as a result :()

How far are you going to be from the screens? if you are close enough then 1440p could be okay, otherwise 1080p would be my recommendation due to scaling etc.

if you aren't planning to use the pc for gaming then the 670 should be fine for just running the displays, given the right inputs/outputs

If it's basic office work, you could just use the onboard GPU together with a low end discrete GPU. As mentioned though it depends on what sort of office work you'll be doing.

White and black cases in there, lovely powder-coated finish perfect for office as well as home.

i3 or i5? What programs will you be using? Lot of multitasking? Swap to 16GB RAM.

GPU with 3 x DP.

Can bring cost down with different monitors etc but there's plenty of room in budget so figured it's possible you may want to treat yourself to triple U2515H.

If you want the monitor edges to line up perfectly with no gaps, make sure the screens you choose don't have the bottom edge sticking out a little, or if they do have that, that the side edges on it are angled inwards to avoid the imperfect alignment issue.
