Triple monitors on single 680?

If you got a 7950 you'd save even more but still have around the same performance.

You'd get within 5% overclocked 7970 performance with an overclocked 7950.

As a triple screen user, I can confirm that 1 680 will cope with settings turned down to medium and low in some games (expect GTA V to be on low).

Yeah it is, not 100% confirmed but many online retailers are listing it!

OT: would a gtx680 with 4gb do the job?

Not under water. You will still be limited by bandwidth on the 4gb AFAIK as the 680 is still bottlenecked at higher resolutions.
shankly-Either PC gamer or RPS reported its likely as amazon have put up pre orders for it. I think the petition for it has got pretty high numbers now. I know its not defo but if it were to come to pc......remember IV when that arrived? I know it was buggy as hell but it was hog none the less.

Thanks guys lets hope its true.

I second that notion! After the ICE (?) mods for IV I am expecting it to make my system bleed though :D

Agreed!
With ICEenhancer and many other mods at almost full settings I get a fairly steady 30-35 fps on my 560ti 2GB
I don't expect to do this on GTA 5 on this card

I recon even with a 7970 I end up just using one monitor for games like GTA 5 judging by some of the latest screenshots

They would be foolish not to bring it to PC!
GTA 4 is orders of magnitude better on PC than on console

Wouldn't say that, you must have been one of the lucky ones that didn't suffer from rockstars poor port.

There is a much, much, much larger potential customer base for GTA5 on console than on PC, same goes with COD. Hence why they just get ported and GTA4 was an utterly terrible port.

Why would they spend time developing an optimized PC version when the customer base for a PC version is a hella lot smaller than console lol.

Granted, once I got GTA4 running smooth on the PC it was a ton better than the console, since the console version only ran at 28FPS and you could see it dropping to <25 when running through large crowds of pedestrians.
