triple screen issue

sometimes when i turn my pc on, one of my displays is showing up normal, but with an orange tint to all the colours, anyone had this when using 3 screens, its not the gfx or the cables, have tried another gfx and new cables, nor the monitors iv tested different screens, they all do it, as it happend to all my screens from time to time, i get it back to normal by disabling the orange one at the time, then re-enabling it, usually takes about 5-10 tries, anyone have a solution for this?

More info needed mate.

What GPUs are you using? What inputs, on what monitors?

Is this recurring, intermittent? Has it always been like this, or only started recently?

What connection are you using on the monitor which is affected?

using originally 2 x 6950 2gb, 2 screens, one 25 inch hanns g dvi other one 19 inch hanns g one vga, it never did it on that
added another 6950, bought 2 hanns g screens, and used my original 25 inch and 2 21.5 hanns g it occasionally did it to try and simplify it after setting this config up

this was
25 inch on dvi (center) (sometimes went orange)
21.5 on dispay port to dvi (right) (sometimes went orange)
21.5 on hdmi to dvi (left) (didnt really go orange)

swapped out the central monitor to a third matching 21.5, still same issue

so, now i swapped to an r9 290

2 x dvi and one active display port connected, similar to the other config

central, top dvi to dvi
left, dp adapter to dvi
right, bottom dvi to dvi


sometimes its the right screen, sometimes its the centre screen, have tried swapping out cables on all of them, bought new ones to replace them, still the same, its only on bootup, sometimes its completely fine on boot, sometimes one of my screens has that orange tint, excuse the shaky photo, but you can see the colour difference in this photo, both should be blue

That's some weird issue you've got there.

I can only think it's a RAM or MOBO issue given that you've tried different connections, monitors and cards. You've eliminated all of those, so that only leaves the mobo and ram really.

No idea



FYI, I know nothing about these things, probably best to wait for someone more knowledgeable to answer, although I'm keen to find out what it is, as I also had issues with 6950 xfires.

Oh! Something very similar happens to me with a pink tint. what fixes it for me is to edit the colour settings in catalyst control centre. I think it's randomly deciding to mess with the colours for some bizarre reason, even though it looks like it's set to the default value. Try upping the blue channel. On the phone at the moment so apologies if this is vague.

checked that, was all normal, id assume it would do it on all 3 at a time instead of just 1 at a time
