Tripod Advise

I'm looking to purchase a tripod for use when hill walking and general out and about work, as such I need a stable tripod but one that doesn't weigh too much, any suggestions? Or even general advice on what to look for?

Budget under £50 if possible, or more if its worth it

The Velbon Ultra Luxi F would be perfect although it's a little over budget at £60 to £70.

Another vote for the Velbon

Had one for Christmas and although I'm yet to use it a lot, I've been very pleased so far. Light, stong and versitile IMHO.

That looks like it would do the job, hopefully I can pick one up locally and get using it this weekend.

(Found it for £59.99 online and in stock so If I cant get one localy I'll go down that route

I got the Velbon CX540, a cheaper version of the above, £30. It's pretty light and fairly sturdy.

I have a manfrotto modo, 38 quid, tall, light and stable(ish) - 4 lbs weight limit
