Hi there

I'm looking to get a tripod. Something small that can fit along side a backpack

I've no idea what to get that will be a good size though. I'm not looking for anything hugely expensive. As long as it keeps the camera still and can be carried around, I'm happy.

Does anyone have anything that they would suggest?

I should probably get a backpack to go with this too. If anyone has anything they could suggest here too that would be greatly appreciated.

not hugely expensive is probably something like- less than 50 pounds for a tripod... DON'T LAUGH

Thanks

ooh that looks very nice and compact. A little out of my price range but that's a good deal.

I know manfrotto are the make of choice for a lot of people but I would be more than happy to skimp on quality for compactness. looking around, it does seem compact comes at a price.

I've got the manfrotto mkc3 h01 which can be had for just under 50 quid. I have it stuck into a lowepro slingshot 120 (has a little tripod holder on the side and fits 2 lenses plus my flash and camera, and has a weatherproof pouch that pulls out the bottom). The tripod is very decent for on the go, but the head, although very good at stopping vibrations, isn't as good in heavy wind as I'd like. But for 50 quid it makes a nice about-town setup. Came in handy on my trip to York the other day.
