Tripod help

Hello all,

From a recommendation from here about 3 months ago I bought a D3100 which im having soo much fun with

Now im looking for a tripod for stability on long exposures. This may well be using for macro photography a bit later down the line to so ideally it would need to go quite low too.

I dont have a lot to spend, maybe about £40.

Ive seen this one on the bay but im not sure and I dont think it will go low for macro shots.

What do you think? What can you recommend?

Honestly, I'd save up some more. I'd want to spend ~ £150 on a decent tripod and head. I bought a cheap tripod and you end up spending more in the long run when you find out it just isn't fit for purpose.

You get what you pay for, and if you buy a good tripod and head it will last years and years.

I got a tripod off them for about £65, the legs are ace, the 4 way head is ok. It's a lot more solid then any of the cheaper tripod I've seen.

Goes quite high at 160cm but do you think 21cm is low enough for macro photography? Is it likly to be stable at this height?
