Hi,

As title really, toying with the idea of getting a 3rd LCD. I currently have a 20.1" and 17" Philips running off an XT1800.

Now i know id need a 3rd monitor (obvioulsy) and a 2nd GFX card but other than that am i missing anything ?

How hard is this to set up, 2nd GFX would be PCI. Im assuming this would simply be plug and play with no funnies associated with it (i would also be using Ultramon) ?

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

Get yourself another ATi card to keep things simple and you'll be good to go :) Ultramon will ease matters.

Hey all, I was thinking of getting a 3rd one as well (dell 2407)

I currently have 2x samsung 172x and a geforce 7800gtx.

Was thinking of running the dell off that and getting a cheap second pcie dual dvi card (have an sli mobo) to run the samsungs off.

Would this work fine and whats a good cheapy gfx card to look for, don't mind going second hand for it and won't be doing anything extensive.

when i had 4 screens running, i had 6800GT on PCIe and then 6200LE on the other PCIe.

Worked fine as they both had same nvidia drivers, not many problems atall :)

Just remember if you get a rubbish card for 1/2 screens, you cant be doing any gaming or HD video playing on them

Possibly a stupid question, but Why do people need 3?

Cheers,

Why not? :) After getting my 2nd, a third would now be lovely. But can't afford another yet. Or the graphics card...
