I have recently got the TripleHead2Go box which supports 3 19" widescreen monitors together for surround gaming. My question is will my Geforce 256Mb 6800Gt run well with these? or will i have to upgrade my graphics card too?

My System will be

ASUS AMD 64 3500+
2048 MB DDR400 RAM (4x512)
Geforce 6800GT
3x 19" Wide Acer AL1916WS Monitors

If anyone knows of any graphics card that will run this well or think i will be ok with my 6800GT please let me know, or if you currently run a tripple monitor setup could you tell me what problems you have experenced if any?

Hi,

I'm running a th2go on a 7800gtx (256mb) to 3 x VX912 19"tfts with no noticable performance drop.
Only issue I have noticed is because the connection is analogue (I previously used dvi) the image sometimes doesn't look quite as sharp and the central monitor image seems a slightly different colour although I read somewhere that changing the connection lead may solve that.
Overall tho' really pleased with it (just wish it was dvi...)

Are there any plans to bring a DVI version of this out? i'm not particularly interested in having a VGA version but a DVI version would be something i'd look into.
 
hi mpl330 thats put my mind at rest a little my biggest fear would have been big performance drops switching to 3 screens, any chance of posting a pic with your set up?

Im using a single gainward 7800gt glh with 512mb of ram, runs most things fine
using a th2go

use max settings on css @ 3800*1024, but i have to turn aa off to get it really smooth, but at that res i imagine aa is adding a lot to what the gpu has to do

think if i sl'd em id be fine with max aa
 
Hi,

There have been many questions on the Matrox site about a dvi version but no announcements so far - it does say on the box 'Triple Analog Edition' so hopefully they may bring one out - which would mean I would have to get that!!
I use it with TrackIR for FS2004 and the immersion in the 3d cockpit is great - doesnt work too well in 2D tho'. Great for multitasking too.
Will try post some pics - not done it before so will give it a go :confused:
