Hello all. I'm not as clued up as I'd like to be on reliability of certain manufacturers of recent as my current bike is about 15 years old! However it's time to get a new one.

Triumphs. In the last 3 years or so, have they improved their reliability? 10 years ago they were right at the bottom in terms of faults (or top...whatever). Has anything changed?

Since their relaunch in 2009 ish they are considered a top tier manufacturer in terms of reliability.

The only major concern is the price of repairs compared to the Japanese brands, but they are still far cheaper than BMW.

Triumph bikes are awesome. My brother's Bonneville is 3 years old now and not even hinted at a problem and mine's almost a year with 0 problems.

Also haven't heard anything but good from other's with Triumphs.

Since they introduced EFI they've been really good.

I have an EFI and it's had no problems whatsoever.

I haven't come across a bike that felt superior in terms of quality compared to a Triumph. Saying that, you do pay more...

Had a Triumph for a couple of years now and I've only had one fuel leak, one oil leak and one clutch issue. That's perfect imo.

Very good!

Thanks for replies all. Going shopping at the MCN show in a few weeks. :D

I'd just visit a dealer if I were you. You get to sit on the bike as long as you like without some gork wanting to take a pic. There aren't a million people also wanting to sit on the bike and you get to have a decent 1 on 1 with the dealer about the bike.

The bike show is good to get initial feelers out, but the police told me it's for the bikes only.
