Hello

please help :(

i seem to have the above on my phone, uninstalling everything did not work, restoring to factory settings did not work, at the time of infection i had trend micro security and avg installed!! i have since installed Malwarebytes anti-malware, which finds it, deletes, but it still come back....

i have had a crack at rooting the phone, which i needed to do anyway as the phone came with TW firmware and i need to change it to WW, but i am having no luck doing that
 
which phone? you might need to flash a totally new bootloader and firmware on to kill it, but from the looks of it trojan.downloader.leech is pretty fresh
 
i have a Asus zenphone 2, i have got it into developermode. and as far as i can tell have rooted the phone, but i am getting stuck with the bit, where it says to copy the new firmware to the phone and then wait for the phone to promt you there is a new update, which does not happen, not sure if i am copying the the frimware over to the wrong place, or if it needs to be on an external sdcard?
 
All android phone flashes seem to be different, not had an asus but the instructions here seem pretty clear (for returning to stock, if you didn't want it rooted, which may be a safer initial step...)

Refer to http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenf...-mode-t3096596 and follow the steps of root method 1 (pre-rooted image) to flash boot, droidboot and recovery images for the firmware version you want to revert to. However, DON'T download and flash the pre-rooted system image. Instead download the full firmware zip from ASUS, rename it as MOFD_SDUPDATE and place it on your external SD card. Erase your data and then boot back into the bootloader and then recovery mode. It should then install the firmware from your SD card.

sounds like you need the firmwear on the external SD card, named MOFD_SDUPDATE
 
thanks, link is really helpfull, have got the recovery mode to work now, phone was on 10% bat, so i am giving a charge before i continue
