Hi,

Just did a virus scan with AVG this morning and i had two instances of a Trojan Horse in my taskmngr.exe file, so AVG finihsed the scan and repaired them, i also did a scan with Spybot and it found nothing also i did a scan with microsoft maliscious software remover again it found nothing, can i be safe in th eknowledge that this thing is gone??

Also if i run msconfig there is a line in startup called taskmngr.exe that i do not think was there before anyone knows if it should be there or not?

Thanks

That entry will be the one left by the trojan so it can start up when the system boots. Delete the taskmngr.exe file(s) if you (or AVG) haven't already done so. The startup entry won't be a problem when you've deleted the file as it won't point to anything. :)

taskmgr.exe is the real file name for task manager

get rid of avg, and use nod32 or kaspersky instead (or avast if you want a free one)

i know that, i should have bolded my real, makes sense then :)

ps, our sig's are equally super lame :p
