Trojan - Possible 10% ram increase?

Basically I got an opcom fault reader and installed the drivers. The CD, admittedly dodgey, had a trojan on it, but symnatec took care of that.
Played around and then ran a virus scan.
Noticed this evening ram was running at 10% higher and the scan picked nothing up, so rolled the system back to before the driver install.

Any chance this trojan could've installed with the driver and this was eating at the ram usage?

I found no other issues for increase...although looking in task manager just now google chrome seems to have to processes open but only one window/tab. Haven't noticed that before!

edit: it also seems to currently be sitting higher than usual. Weird/annoying!

I'd run a scan with something like Malware Bytes too, as some viruses are able to hide themselves from the task manager etc. Run all scans in safe mode too (make sure malware bytes is full updated though)
