Hi all,

Just need some reassurance. I've just run Norton AntiVirus 2008 for the first time and it's picked up 7 threats. 1 was a tracking cookie, which was deleted. The other 6 were the Trojans 'Trojan.ByteVerify' and 'Trojan Horse'. All of these were found inside the D:/Recycler directory, which isn't even my root drive. These things seem to pop up most times I run Norton, but considering I download very little, I find it hard to believe they are real. Are they false alarms or is something going on?

x:\recycler is the recycle bin for that drive

get rid of norton and buy nod32 instead, it's 10x better

and do this..

disable system restore
ccleaner slim
nod32 trial
spybot s&d
adaware se
windows defender (disable real-time scanning when you're done)
avg antispyware (uninstall/disable from startup when done, it's heavy on resources)
then post back here and say 'thanks bledd' :p
