I've been running AVG on my laptop, but decided to try MSE as I've heard good reviews about it. After a looong scan it found a number of viruses, which were all java exploits - it also included 2 Mesdeh trojans. I tried to find some info about this, but couldn't find much.
Anyway my questions are - If windows runs without any noticeable problems / slow-downs am I good to go, or am I better off doing a clean install of windows anyway?
Also, what are the chances that my credit card details / paypal & other account passwords having been compromised? Am I likely to become a victim of credit card fraud?
Do I need to change all passwords? Should I go further and cancel card (seems a bit extreme as a result of getting a virus).
NB: I've bought stuff online recently, but have not released my card details to any other sites, or been redirected to any dodgy sites or any other symptoms of virus (apart from possible slow-down).
