Trooping the Colour

It's very impressive. The choreography involved and the sheer amount of work they must go through is unbelievable.

'Tis very impressive if a little drawn out.

We, as a nation, are undoubtably the best at this pompous parade type stuff!

I think it's amazing. I have to say it's one thing that does make feel very proud to be British - despite being a frog too :p Does anybody still stand up when they hear the national anthem? So called patriotic people I know don't give a rat's bottom about it. I think it's a fantastic tradition.

Those guys are tough gits too - it must be so so hot.

My Dad did trooping the colour back when he was in the welsh guards in the late 60's. We we're going to get him and my mum tickets for this years, but he's still recovering from a major cancer op and we didn't think he'd would be as fit as he is right now.

I hope he recovers soon dude. :) That would be an amazing gift for him :)

thanks guys, he's doing really well, and has been given the all clear so we're all chuffed.

my uncle had the same thing and was in the hospital at the same time as my dad, having the same operation and he's still not been given the all clear. :(

Hope Mr Robdav snr is on the mend. :)

I think the British military pomp is very impresive for Trooping the Colour etc and I am always impressed by it.

I notice Prince Harry is displaying a medal. Where did he get that from and what for ? He's just joined and hasn't seen action.

Was just about to post the same question, probably from the same source as Prince Edward got his from even though he didn't even finish basic training.

Poor sods marching about with fluffy hats and coats carrying weapons in this weather. Surprised they're not all fainting.
Always thought the guardsmen looked a bit daft in full ceremonial garb carrying an SA80, couldn't they give them some older looking guns? :)

When's the flyover of all those planes going to happen?

Oops, 1300. I had it in an email.
