Trouble access folder on my NAS, but XBMC works fine with it.

Hi. useing Win XP in a wired network to my ICYBOX 4220 Nas.

In one share, I have two folders. I can access one folder fine, but the other just won't load. I know I have access permissions to it as I have access to the first folder. The folder is full of avi files.

Wierd thing is XBMC can access this folder fine and play everything in it. So my guess is that xp is trying to read all the avi files (a lifetime of family videos) to get a thumbnail for them (it's reading something as the network is busy while it tries to load.

Is there any way i can tell xp to not get thumbnails when I'm not actually in the foldeR?

Can you right click on the folder and adjust any of its viewing properties???

Good stuff! clicked on properties - customise, and set it as a videos folder.

Comes up as a list now.
