I've set up my static i.p etc, just need to find the settings so I can enable the DMZ. I read you could do this through a web browser but I tried this (through my ps3) and it didn't work. Can changing the settings for the router only be done through a PC browser? Does it have to be the host PC? Or is changing settings via web browser an option only available to 'linksys' routers?

If so then how would I change my settings? Using a edimax Br-6226n router if it helps.

Can you actually log on to your router through the PS3 browser?

If so, can't see that being a problem.

DMZ might be under a different name on your router, have a look for firewall / port forwarding.

I've just managed to find the correct i.p (im sure) to use, the software bundled with the CD only does a quick setup. But now I'm struggling to find the username and password for it, the default ones don't work, neither does the SSID / password work. Will restoring the router reset this also?

EDIT: I looked and DMZ is included in its section. Its just getting opening configuration page open

If you're using DHCP, you can find the correct IP address of the router as your gateway address on your PC / PS3.

Make sure you're navigating to the correct place before resetting the router. Resetting it will take it back to it's factory settings, including it's default IP Address, username and password.
