Followed the Overclocking threads I've managed to get up to 3.7Ghz. Details below. Any experts care to take a look?
With my limited knowledge this is as far as I can go. Its cool, stable and passes prime95 at 3.7Ghz but memory starts to fail at any higher FSB. This is where I'm stuck as I should be able to change FSB
ram ratio but I'm struggling to find where to unlock FSB: DRAM 1:1 ratio on my Rampage Formula Bios? If I can lower the memory divider I can push the CPU a bit higher? I'm sure its simple once you know how!
It might help if I removed 2 sticks (4gig) as its limited to 800Mhz at 8gig RAM? Ideally I'd like to keep it at 8Gig though.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
EDIT - Ok taking 2 sticks out enabled fsb: dram ratio options... I get it now,, but still looks like i'v maxed out my system at 3.7!
