trouble importing emails into vista

I was previously running outlook on my windows xp machine and had a backup .pst file with my account settings and emails contained within.

I now have a new laptop with vista premium installed and im having problems importing the .pst file into vistas email program.

Anyone know how to import them please?

Only done this once for a mate as I'm still sticking with XP and Outlook, but I vaguely remember you can import the pst into Outlook Express, which would convert the files to dbx.
You can then import dbx files into Windows Mail.
Sorry its vague and fiddly but only done it once and dont have Vista to do a dry run but hope it is of some help.
