trouble installing memory card reader

i am trying to install a memory card reader into my antec 900-2 case using the supplied 5.25-3.25 adapter.

but i have come across a problem i lined up the screws with the adapter and installed it but it came to far forward out of the case. so i put it on the screw just behind and it to far back in the case?

any help on how to get it flush ?

Ae you sure you have mounted it the correct way around ?
Try un-screwing it then turning the adapter around 180 degrees.

yes the mesh front is the way out
