I have just bought a new 120mm Xigmatek Orange LED fan for my Xigmatek Midgard case but I am having trouble screwing it onto the case.

It seems as though the screw holes in the fan aren't wide enough for the supplied screws to go through, maybe I'm doing it wrong or something? This is my first time building a custom PC

Can anyone help me out here? Or has anyone ever mounted any of these fans before?

Hold it firmly against the case and try screwing it in? Even using a few cheapo fans I've never managed to break one, they're usually pretty well made.

Use rubber fan mounts, your ears will thank you.

Maybe the screws are dodgy. The critical part is the sharpness of the thread.

:D Get yourself a normal screwdriver if you're scared of breaking stuff with the electric one. ;)

Indeed, these are screws are nothing like the "easy" screws you use to screw in your motherboard, DVD drive etc. they need a good deal of torque. As such you should hunt around for a much beefier cross-head screwdriver (the kind you would use to construct a bookcase) to get the job done.
