As title I have latest 11 version on a usb drive, trying to install it but wont, just boots into what I assume is the 'try without install' option, used unetbootin to make the disk, it gives the option to install at the start but just doesnt :(

when your in the live environment whats the output of the command "ls /dev/sd*" without quotes ?
if it gives you output such as /dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sdb /dev/sdb1 then try the command
sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda
but substituting sdb or sdc depending on what you got from the first command

Try passing noapic to the installer as an option, that usually sorts most installer freezes.

ok will try these later, tried noapic and still no drives were seen by the installer.
