Trouble opening PS2 to clean.

Model number is SCPH 30003, I have four screws undone in the corners but there are two "plastic" covers in the middle that don't seem to budge, at all.

Somethings holding it shut in the middle but I cannot figure out why.

You should be able to flick those plastic covers out with a flat head screwdriver. Under those covers are two more screws you need to remove in order to open it up.

Yeah got it now, used tweezers, thanks. Regarding the "lazer radiation" on the disc drive, how serious is it?

Non-existent unless you're opening it with the console turned on.
