I have bought a dead cheap Toshiba SD190 DVD player for my Dad with the aim that I will be able to put together home videos of his grand kids and mail them to him.
I burnt a test disk and it played fine on both PCs and a friends DVD player. But it will only play about 1 time in 3 with occasional jumps/skips on the Toshiba.
On the side of the DVD box it says clearly that it supports DVD-R, DVD+R plus formats like divx etc.
Is it worth trying:
1) A different brand of DVD-R
2) DVD+R
Or should I just take it back ?
