Hi all, well i have 2 x gtx 470s , however for quite sometime i have not been using them in sli, and was just using the one for gaming. However i seem to have developed a fault with it, randonly during gaming only i get crashes, sometimes it resets the graphics driver, sometimes its a hard crash that requires the reset button, either way the results are the same and the screen just goes a mixed blur of all diffrent coulors from the current game all over the screen.
Now this does not happen every single time i play a game, nor does it even happen every single day, but it is a constant thing that persists often enough.
Now i have tried running the card @ stock, i have tried reinstalling all the drivers, it changes nothing.
So i can only assume its a hardware fault with the card, possibly the gpu's memory being faulty?
I have since reverted to using the other gtx 470 i have to test it all out, and it works faultlessly now for over a month, using the same settings, same drivers, everything the same, and no errors, nothing.
So i take this as a little more evidence towards their being a fault with the first 470.
However here is the problem, if i RMA the card to OCuk, and it "works" for the test period, i then get dumped with postage charges, and nothing gets done about the card or a replacment.
So... what do i do?
Sorry for this long winded rant, but customer services over at OCuk dont seem to care, or want to help at all, this i find abit of a joke considering iv spent £3k pounds with them over the last 1 year alone.
When i shop with a main competitor and i have a hardware issue, they send out DPD the very next day to pick up the goods for RMA return FREE of charge. And i havent spent nearly the amount with them as i have OCuk, this is the level of service i expect, and they fail to deliver.
All i can ask for is your advice as what to do with the card, and all i have to OCuk is, my business might not be heading your way again.
