Trouble sending email with BT Broadband
A friend of mine is with BT Broadband and has trouble sending email via IMAP.
Their email is with an external server i.e. mail.domain.com but sending an email results in an error. I can't remember the error but from a google search, a lot was mentioned regarding smtp port blocking.
From my house I can send emails using their email account no problem with my ISP so I am guessing BT are at fault.
I have the details correct such as "My outgoing server requires authentication" and the fact it works with my ISP proves the settings are right.
It will be a few days till I pay them a visit again so I will take my laptop with me and see does it send email via their ISP from my laptop.
Does anyone else have problems or can offer some help?
