Trouble with monitor stand

Hi, yesterday i bought this:

Now I'm trying to mount it, when i see this on the installation manual:

So apparently, you have to feed cables through that hole on the base. But there's only room for the 4 dvi or hdmi cables... once i've put them, there's no room for the other 4 cables (the 4 power cables) as i show in the next photo:

Can you give me a solution? Aren't the total 8 cables supposed to fit in that hole?

just an idea but perhaps get a 4 socket power point and tiewrap it to the stand?
Does seem like a weird oversight, don't think you'll get much help on these forums, OCUK hasn't been selling them for very long and a quad stand is a rather niche product.

Think you'd have more luck using the contact form on the peerless website or by using OCUKs contact options.
