Trouble with Outlook/BT

Ok basically the business where I work has an email account and he uses Outlook to send and recieve his emails.
On Wed BT had big problems at their end and since it came back on the application Outlook can only send emails sucessfully. It will not recieve any, even though there are loads to be downloaded. He is forced to use Outlook online (web version) as his emails are only visible here.

Its like the route has been changed to this online web version and wont attempt to download to Outlook (local version)

Any ideas at all?
 
Is there an exchange server being used?
What email account is/was being used with Outlook?
The email provider may have changed their pop/imap settings?
