Troubleshooting help, Windows wont boot.

Hey guys, the problem i am having is that my pc wont boot up into anything but safe mode. The windows loading screen comes up, does its thing then the screen goes black and nothing else happens.

Now, as i said before i can boot into safe mode. I have tried all manner of repairing the install to no avail, i have even done a full format and fresh install of windows (7, 64bit). I have tried using just one of my ram sticks, both of them, i have taken all OC's off my system. I just can't fathom it!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my full spec is as follows:

Q6600 at stock (2.4)
4GB Ram, Corsair CM2X2048 x 2
Radeon 4890
Corsair tx50.
Abit ix38 motherboard.

Does the pc `work` and you just can`t see anything on screen?
Try swapping gfx connectors on the card

I will try this but im sceptical, it was working fine till i transported the pc from uni to home which i probably should have mentioned. surely if it was the gfc connector it wouldnt work in safe mode either?

Solved, ANDRARIAL got it in one, i was using the wrong gfx connector....thankgod i was over due for that format anyway eh?...Sigh.

Has happened to me on occasion too mate.Some times after updating drivers I have lost image to screen,I must be using the `secondary`output
