Troubleshooting lost Menu botton - remotely!

A friend has my old Nexus1 phone. Its running CM7 and she's managed to somehow remove the Application drawer button from the launcher.
Its been so long I can't remember how to get it back, and to try and communicate this to her by SMS.
If she long presses on the Launcher bar is there an option to add a shortcut to it?
Any other ideas?

A Teamviewer type RDP for Android would be great for this! Is there such a thing?

You can add a shortcut to the app drawer on the homescreen and then drag to the central location on the launcher - alternatively reinstall a new launcher?

Thanks, thats what I thought. I've asked her to try that and will see if she manages to get it.
