True accents getting revealed when drunk

Mine don't change but I do try and change it on purpose, sometimes. As I work with a bunch of Romanians at the moment, I'm starting to learn to sound like one. Met a bloke at work last night who saw me between the Romanians and asked if I was Romanian too. With my thickest Romanian accent I had him believe I was for about 2 hours. Good fun.

When I get drunk, and this is weird, I try and change my accent to sound the same as the person who I'm speaking to. I see it as a subconscious exercise while some people see it as a wee-wee take. One accent I can do very well is a Deep-South American accent. I have a colleague from Tennessee and he says I'll be able to pass as a native Tennessean

I managed a Slovakian accent in a bar in Prague a few months ago as part of a ruse to get cheap drinks. It worked!

Hmm. Why? They can understand Slovak there. Lucky you didn't get caught out.

I work in Bristol and loads of the people I work with have strong Bristol accents and when I get home my g/f often mocks me for picking it up!!

My old boss was this horrible woman.

Her parents are gyspies (the ones with money and houses) but she had this awful fake posh voice. On the odd ocasion I saw her get tispy she reverted back to her ***** self. It amused me.

People from Glasgow Uni are hilarious, they have their own accent, a mix of posh and eastern Scotland which sounds absolutely ridiculous, but they usually forget about it when they get wrecked. Mostly females get this accent, it really is ridiculous.

My accent doesn't change at all, just a typical accent for where i'm from, outside of Scotland though nobody has a clue what i'm saying unless I try and speak eligible English.

I can never understand Scots when they're hammered (althought that's probably more down to the fact that most people are pretty hard to understand after a bottle of whisky!)

It can get pretty bad I never noticed it when I was at home, out with mates etc. We all spoke the same, a lovely Fife accent. It became apparent whenever I went out anywhere else though. I do try my best to suppress it, as it isn't the nicest of accents and can be pretty hard to follow, but a few drinks later and it can't be helped

My girlfriend had the pi55 taken out of her on a night out with her new work mates, the Fife accent in her came out in glorious style
