I have just been watching the trailer to this new game for the PC. IMO this just looks like one of the GTA games based in NY, is this true? cause if so this is gonna be on my shopping list ;)

If it's anything like the xbox version I'd avoid it. Buggy and monotonous.

Mind you if they've made the missions more exciting (drive across town shoot some bad guys then interrogate someone, was boring) it might be playable.

Any of the GTA games are better.

I have all the GTA games, and I love them to bits, so when I spotted this one, I just thought it might be a replacement before the next GTA game arrives later in the year :)

I found True Crime LA for the PC to be a buggy piece of turd. If this is the same then run away.

I completely agree

Bought it as it looked like a GTA-esque game that'll tide me over till the next GTA.

BIG mistake! It is honestly the worst game I have ever played in my entire life with no redeeming features at all!

The g/f got it me for xmas on the PS2.

Very buggy to play and the controls are not that good.

Some bugs include randomly being run over and police men shooting you while your making an arrest.

The ingame map is a royal pain in the backside, it only shows what it wants. Sometimes it'll show you where a garage is to repair your car but most of the time it doesnt.

I had Streets of LA, it did have strong leanings to the GTA genre but it really didn't play that well.

Judging from the console reviews of Streets of New York, it looks like they've just slapped a new story/city onto it and pinched off another turb.

I'd wait for a demo and then avoid...
