Hi,
I'm using WinDVD9 and it has come to light that it seems to downsample high quality audio tracks to 48khz/16bit audio regardless of the hardware its running on.
I was watching the incredible hulk the other night and noted that even though its a 48khz/24bit Dolby audio track/stream, its output is 16bit. This is the information it provides itself in the information page of the settings section. I've ticked the "allow 98khz/24bit audio support" option but its still downscaling.
Is there any software out there which allows proper support of high def audio on compatible audio hardware?
I even tried using a different sound card instead of the onboard audio on my Asus P5Q deluxe but its the same with that.
Thanks.
