Truelife or not?

Ok, so the Truelife add on for a laptop I want is about £30 which is not bad for some extra resolution & clearness.

But I just wondered if the TrueLife screen is actually worth it? Does the extra clearness and resolution outweigh the fact that you can't see a thing in the daylight?

My sister has a truelife screen, but it's just terrible in day, all I can see is myself and whatever's behind me.

Is the inconvenience of TrueLife worth the extra clearness?

Thanks,
Craig.

Depends where you use it. If you're planning on lounging about outside and using your laptop, give it a miss. If it's mostly indoors I'd say it's worth it, although you may need to rethink the placement of your desk in relation to your windows :).

this is a glossy screen right? I have one on my laptop and its great tbh, indoors, outdoors wherever, reflections are minimal but the black level is way better than my lg flatron which claims 2000:1.

I guess I'll mostly be using it inside & sometimes in the car.

My sister just left to go home this morning with her laptop so I guess I'll have to take another look at truelife in a shop or when she next comes round.

Yep, it's the glossy screen. Maybe they've been updated since my sister got hers?
